DINNERS READY

We are excited to announce a new and exciting partnership with Dinners Ready at the locations listed below.

This joint venture will allow you to select menus that will work for you and your family Dinners Ready has graciously offered to do the meal preparation without charge as an exclusive offer for you, the PALS. You will however need the secret code and to call the store directly to set this up.

How does it work?

Dinners ready has available a wide variety of made-from-scratch, nutritious and delicious family-sized and smaller dinners ready to serve.

From the on line menu you choose what you would like for your meals, then call them and give them the secret code and they will put your meals together and have them ready to take home and freeze, then you cook as needed. They will plan, shop, chop, and provide all you need for nutritious and delicious dinners.

Fewer trips to the grocery store
No meal planning
Less meal preparation time
Lower food bills
Healthier, more nutritious meals
Less time in the kitchen means more time with your family

PROGRAMS FOR KIDS

Western Washington Teen Program Goes On the Road!

We know that it is often very difficult for you to get your teen here to the office when you are so busy living daily with this disease. So, to make things easier, I would like to offer my services and come to your home for a visit following your invitation. Just a soft and quick introduction to both the parents and the children, we can meet each other and then take it from there. As a retired Youth Counselor, I understand the resistance that comes with meeting a “counselor”…the goal is to only add assistance to your overwhelming situation and to make myself available to help you with your children. Yes, I have the experience of counseling kids, but more important I have the experience of this disease first hand and have watched and guided (when I could) my five kids through this disease.

The goal of this program (ages 13-18) is not only to give your child someone to “talk” to, but also we are hoping to create a network of kids that we can plan events with, you know, give the parents a break and let us go have some fun with your kids!

If your child is under the age of 13, please let me know, we can still offer our assistance.

If I can answer any of your questions, please call Candi at 425-656-1650 or email me at candi@alsa-ec.org. I look forward to meeting you and your family.

Camp Erin

Camp Erin is a bereavement camp designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, friend or loved one. It is a weekend-long experience filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support -- facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers. The Moyer Foundation partners with local hospice and grief counseling organizations in the communities where the camps exist. Because these organizations are seeing and treating grieving children every day, they act as the natural camp hosts and registration points for children and Camp Erin bereavement camps.

Camp Erin is FREE for ALL children.

Application is required.

Applying for camp as early as possible is highly recommended as many camps have waiting lists.  You can contact your Patient Care Coordinator for more information or go directly to the Camp Erin Web site www.moyerfoundation.org/events/erin.aspx
