Review and Update of AMX0035 in the Treatment of ALS

Join Dr. Michael Elliott, Medical Director for the ALS Clinic at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, for an update on a promising new drug by Amylyx. AMX0035 is an oral therapy dissolved in water that combines two existing drugs, sodium phenylbutyrate and taurursodiol. Trial results indicate the drug cocktail slowed ALS progression in a statistically meaningful and clinically relevant way and that the drug combination is generally safe and well-tolerated. The ALS Association and I AM ALS have launched a petition calling on the FDA and Amylyx Pharmaceuticals to bring AMX0035 to market as soon as possible. Learn more and sign the petition.

Fundraising Events

The ALS Association understands that many of you in our ALS community may have questions and concerns related to the spread of the coronavirus, known as COVID-19. We are closely monitoring local and national government health agency guidance on this evolving situation. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of people with ALS, their families and caregivers, and our staff

Each year we put on over 15 fundraising events. These events support our financial viability and are core to our mission. For the remainder of 2020 all Chapter-sponsored events will not be held in-person. We will notify participants via our website, email, and social media on alternative plans.

For the most recent information about the coronavirus (COVID-19), The ALS Association recommends that you reference the websites for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Raise Funds to Fight Lou Gehrigs Disease: Help create a world without ALS by getting involved in the way that best suits YOU! When you fundraise with family and friends you take us closer to discovering a cure.

#AllWalks1Day: A Walk in Your Neighborhood

This year the Evergreen Chapter planned on hosting ELEVEN Walk to Defeat ALS fundraising events.  However, since we can't gather safely due to Covid-19 we are hosting #AllWalks1Day this year. #AllWalks1Day is an opportunity for us to safely walk in our neighborhoods to honor those living with ALS and remember those who have passed. The Evergreen Chapter territory is almost a million square miles, covering the largest land area of all the Chapters - almost a quarter of the United States! We would love to see support across our whole territory, touching each corner of the area we serve. Join us by clicking on either the #AllWalks1Day link to see nine of the walks and totals in one place or if your closest walk is Silver Valley or Anchorage, choose it directly from the list below. We've also added YARD SIGNS this year. See below for more information. Find a Walk near you and join us in our mission to provide care & a cure for those affected by ALS!
