Why do we ride?    To raise money and awareness for ALS.

What is ALS?

Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromusculardisease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.

We recycle at DoubleDay!Last year the ALS DoubleDay Bike Ride made a commitment to reduce the amount of waste that we produce.  We want to build on that effort during this year's ride. Burlington will again provide us with bins and hauling service so that we can compost all of our food waste and compostable dinnerware at the Skagit Soils composting facility.  In addition, we will try to recycle as much paper, plastic, tin, and glass as possible.  If you have ideas about how we can improve in our efforts to reduce our waste and environmental impact, let us know.  We appreciate your support in this endeavor.
