Dear Families & Friends The Evergreen Chapter prides itself in providing excellent patient services, resources and support to families in our service region. As you are aware, the chapter receives its funding through donations, fundraising and limited grants. With the current economic challenges, we as many of you have had to evaluate what it is we do best and what programs are best suited for the economic times we are in. Unfortunately, the end result as chosen by our Board of Directors was to suspend several of the current programs offered. We look forward to reinstating these programs as the chapter is able to. Programs that we are currently unable to provide are the respite care grants, and the augmentative communication grants. These choices were very difficult ones as we all realize the impact that these decisions have on you. If your family is currently receiving respite care, we will send you a note telling you how many hours you have left. We will complete initial grant that was promised to you. We are committed to providing resources, support, loan locker equipment, home visits, support groups and many of our other programs to the very best of our ability, as we all learn to live in this very challenging difficult economic time.
