Update May 27, 2020
Announcing a COMPETITION that will challenge you to raise awareness, fundraise, and pedal that bike!
To protect our friends living with ALS and due to the restrictions put in place by the Covid-19 situation, Snohomish Ride to Defeat ALS is now VIRTUAL. We have switched all FOUR of our Evergreen Chapter Rides to a COMPETITION that will start June 21st and culminate on July 25th.
We’ll be awarding some great PRIZES to spur your involvement. From June 21 to July 25 we will be in a competition with three other rides that include even more prizes. #RidetoDefeatALS
We encourage you to register, sign-up for the free Strava app, join the Tour d’Funk Treasure Valley Ride to Defeat ALS Cycling Club in Strava, and join our Facebook event page. Prizes will be awarded through the various channels for participation, fundraising, etc. Registrations are now free. Previous registrants can either donate their registration fee (It is now fully tax deductible!) or request a refund by June 17th by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Update April 23, 2020
Due to CDC and local government recommendations related to coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 Tour d’Funk Treasure Valley Ride to Defeat ALS will be restructured into a VIRTUAL EVENT. We had hoped that rescheduling the physical ride would be a feasible option, but there is currently too much uncertainty around when that would be a possibility.
Last year Tour d’Funk Treasure Valley Ride to Defeat ALS raised over $33,000 to help our local families living with ALS receive free medical equipment loans, quality of life grants, augmentative communications services, in-home visits with our care coordinator, ALS education, and support at local ALS medical clinics. On behalf of all the families with ALS living in Southern Idaho we THANK YOU!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be incorporating new ways to connect the incredible network of people committed to supporting the ALS community while leveraging the tools available to us to continue raising ALS awareness and generating the resources that will help meet the needs of people living with ALS and their families.
Fundraising pages are still open and we encourage you to fundraise. A gift today will help us keep all our programs operating smoothly. If you have already registered, you will be receiving an email with further information regarding your registration.
On behalf of the Tour d’Funk committee we wish you health and the joy of riding. Ride solo and ride safe! #ALSdoesntStopandNeitherDoWe #TourdFunk #everydropaddsup
