ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Progress

Events

The ALS Association understands that many of you in our ALS community may have questions and concerns related to the spread of the coronavirus, known as COVID-19. We are closely monitoring local and national government health agency guidance on this evolving situation. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of people with ALS, their families and caregivers, and our staff.

Each year we put on over 15 fundraising events. These events support our financial viability and are core to our mission. We are exploring several scenarios relating to upcoming Chapter events. We will notify participants via our website, email, and social media on alternative plans as needed.

For the most recent information about the coronavirus (COVID-19), The ALS Association recommends that you reference the websites for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Raise Funds to Fight Lou Gehrigs Disease: Help create a world without ALS by getting involved in the way that best suits YOU! When you fundraise with family and friends you take us closer to discovering a cure.

Please note, we will not be meeting in-person for the virtual events. Our fundraising events are a vital source of funds that enable us to serve the ALS community. All fundraising sites are active and functioning. We encourage you to register, update your participant page, and continue to fundraise as you would under normal circumstances.

This year has brought so many changes for the Evergreen Chapter. As we got closer to our new date of August 15 for the Hope Grows Here gala, we realized that an in-person event in Bellevue, WA would not be safe for a large group. We have transitioned to a 100% virtual event and the silver lining is now ALL can attend from anywhere in the chapter and beyond. We have renamed this year's gala the Virtual Silver Lining Gala. You can join in August 15, 2020 at 6pm on a cell, tablet, computer or other device near you! To register, type silverlining.alsa-ec.org in your browser. Then, click on the 3 lines in the upper left hand corner. There will be a drop down menu. At the very bottom you’ll notice a white rectangle box with blue lettering that says START BIDDING. Click that box. On the next screen, select CREATE ACCOUNT in the green box and follow the prompts.
